Continuous Stories

Back to Fun Stuff

Writing continuous stories is a fun game to play.  Every player gets has a sheet of paper and begins writing a story.  After a set time limit (like a minute), players stop writing in the middle of a sentence, then fold the paper so that only the last line of the story can be seen.  Then the papers are passed around the table and the stories continue to be written in this fashion.  Listening to the stories afterward is the best part of the game.  Even though there's usually contradictions or discontinuity in the stories (such as the gender of characters or when quotations begin and end), they're a lot of fun.

For your enjoyment, dear reader, I've posted several continuous stories I have written with others.  Whenever you see the text color change, that means that the writer changed.  When you see the first letter of a new color underlined, that means that I wrote that part.  Enjoy.

Here's some advice from me for if you want to play the game.
