Once upon a time, Mario and Luigi were at the Laundromat. "Mamma-mia!" said Luigi, pointing down to the red shirt he was wearing. "I think we got our shirts mixed up!" "Ha ha!" Mario replied. "Remember that time when Peach and I accidentally switched clothes?" "Oh yeah! That was one heck of a party!" "I think somebody spiked the punch with maple syrup that night," commented Mario. Peach was also at the Laundromat. She was washing her hair in the washing machine. "Mario, help!" Mario ran over to see that her hair had been twisted around the agitator. "Hmmm..." Mario thought aloud. "Bowser must be behind all of this!" Mario jumped into a nearby washing machine. "Mario, what are you doing?" asked Luigi. "I'm jumping down this warp pipe to go fight Bowser." "Mario," Luigi buried his face in his hands. "That's a washing machine." "Mamma-mia!" Mario jumped out. His clothes were wet and soapy.
Mario and Luigi took the quickest route to Bowser's castle. They had to ride the train out of Toad Town, and it cost a fortune. Peach couldn't go along with them because she was stuck to a washing machine. Too bad, because if she were with them, they could have ridden the train for free. "What's that?!" Mario pointed up to the roof of Bowser's castle. Luigi took out the binoculars that he always carried. "Mamma-mia!" he said. He saw that Bowser was sitting up on the roof of his castle with some kind of remote control. "Let's go get him!" "Okey-dokey!" said Mario.
They took the elevator to the roof, and ran over to Bowser. Bowser was a little scared to see the Mario Bros., but he pretended that he was ferocious. "Go away, stupid-heads!" "No!" said Mario. "We won't leave until you free the princess from the washing machine!" said Luigi. "Yeah!" said Mario. "No," said Bowser. "What's that?" asked Mario, pointing at the remote control Bowser was holding. "Oh, it's the Washing Machine Servant Machine 5000. It makes all of the washing machines in the world my personal servants, to do whatever I tell them!" "Mamma-mia!" said Luigi. Mario walked over to Bowser, and asked, in his slyest voice, "Hey, buddy, can I see that remote for a second?" "No." Frustrated, Mario and Luigi left Bowser's castle.
They returned to the Laundromat, where Peach was crying with her hair wrapped around the insides of a washing machine. "Mario, help me!" "Mamma-mia!" said Mario. He hated to see Peach cry. So did Luigi. Suddenly, the Laundromat owner and his girlfriend walked in. "Hmmm... I guess I'll have to get rid of the clothes dryers," he said. "Why?" asked his girlfriend. "Because they cost too much to own and maintain." "Why?" asked his girlfriend. "Because they use more energy than the washers." "Why?" asked his girlfriend. "Because they use more power." "Why?" asked his girlfriend. "Because the clothes dryers are more powerful than washing machines." Mario, who had been overhearing the conversation, got a brilliant idea!
Mario and Luigi ran to their house, to their workshop, and devised a special remote control that would give them the power to control all of the dryers in the world! Then, they ran to the Laundromat, planning to use the dryers to conquer the washers. Mario switched the dial on his remote from the "Dry Clothes" setting to the "Kill Washing Machines" setting. The dryers began to destroy the washing machines. Of course, Mario remembered to program the remote control so that the dryers, in an attempt to kill washers, wouldn't hurt Peach if she were attached to a washer. The battle between the washers and dryers was violent and "Mamma-mia!" yelled Luigi while ducking under a motor that had been thrown through the air. However, in the end, the more powerful dryers had completely taken over the washers. The Mario Bros. had beaten Bowser! Mario turned the dial from "Kill Washing Machines" to "Untangle Peach's Hair From Washer", and immediately, the dryers released Peach. "I'm free! Thank you two very much!" She kissed them both. "Yeah!" Mario and Luigi tried to high-five each other, but missed, and Luigi ended up slapping Peach instead. "Oh, you two!" Peach giggled. They all laughed. |
